The short version

Crewplate comes out of Virginia, built shoulder-to-shoulder with working pressure washing, detailing, holiday lighting, and landscaping crews — the kind of outfits where the owner quotes at red lights and does invoices after dinner. We watched where the hours actually leak: re-typing the same quote, chasing the same invoice, the whiteboard that doesn't answer texts.

So we built the plate: one place where the quote becomes the job becomes the invoice becomes the money — with math a crew can trust and honesty a crew can feel. No demo-call gauntlet. No feature held hostage three tiers up. No pretending the software does things it doesn't.

The honesty policy (it's in the code)

• Derived, never fudged: totals are always computed from the lines and payments in front of you — the app literally has no way to store a number that disagrees with its own math.
• Receipts on everything: every AI action prints what it did; every failure says so and ends with "Books untouched."
• Starting rates say so: our price books mark defaults with a * because your market is yours — we'd rather flag a number than fake authority.
• Your data leaves with you: Export-everything, one file, any time, no retention tricks.
• Coming soon means coming soon: when a feature isn't live (card payments, live QuickBooks sync), the site and the app both say it out loud.
